Three Out Of Fore

The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation is a non-profit association financed by donations. In their communication they have for many years used the concept of blue chairs but they had never worked with animation before. In the brief we were informed that they wanted people to understand that today 3 out of 4 children that are diagnosed with cancer survive but that they want to make it 4 out of 4. From a production point of view we filmed the children in a studio and then frame-by-frame painted on top of the filmed material to get an illustrative look. In total, the film consist of more than 600 unique illustrations. Moreover, Måns Zelmerlöv (won the Eurovision 2015 with Hero), wrote and starred in the film.
