For Adlbiris, Sweden’s biggest e-commerce site for books and accessories, we were asked to come up with a new concept for their TV-commercials. Rather than just working with price / product which is common among e-dealers, we wanted to introduce an element of human touch as the staff at Adlibris often act as curators in terms of giving their customers hints on what to read. From a production-point of view, we solved this by shooting in a studio with four different sets depending on season (spring, summer, autumn and winter). Once in post production, we then modelled the actual books to be promoted in the campaign in 3D and then motion-tracked them. By using this set-up we could more easily change the books for each coming season, rather than having to shoot all over again.
