Glögg Workshop

We were beyond excited to create this cel animated film for Blossa, the iconic Swedish glögg brand that’s been warming hearts for generations! Inspired by their classic 1993 commercial and its nostalgic melody, we created a fully cel-animated piece that bridges past and present. Every frame was drawn by hand, while hand-painted backgrounds, influenced by Swedish folk art (allmoge), set the stage for charming, elf-like characters at work in a magical glögg workshop

With the old Blossa song as a starting point, a new recording and an updated arrangement of the music were made. Big ups to the talented Calle Wachtmeister for the work with the music production and choir arrangements!

For those unfamiliar with this beverage: Glögg, gløgg or glögi is a spiced, sometimes alcoholic, mulled wine, or spirit. Associated especially with Sweden (but also with Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Estonia), it is a traditional Nordic drink during winter, especially around Christmas.
